THE AGE FRIENDLY CULTURE NETWORK
Bringing together arts, culture and heritage to make Wales a good place to grow older
ABOUT US
Older people contribute massively to our communities, culture and economy in Wales. Despite this contribution, many older people are unable to lead the lives they want to, and their desires are often overlooked and undervalued.
The Age Friendly Culture Network is a new national initiative created through a collaboration between Amgueddfa Cymru - National Museum Wales, Ageing Well in Wales, Arts Council Wales and Gwanwyn - Age Cymru.
The network brings together individuals and organisations from the arts, culture and heritage sectors from all over Wales to share skills, knowledge and good practice. It will develop innovative and practical ways to better engage with older people and improve their quality of life and wellbeing.
We will be running a series of networking events throughout Wales, as well as developing online resources to promote partnership working and to share ideas and good practice.
